Shell Hunter and Island Hoppers - Family Kayak Tour

This trip is great for families. There is no long distance paddling, so it is good for little ones. Ever wonder what the tide brings in from the ocean? Well, let's find out. Sharks teeth, shells, crabs, bring your collecting bags. At low tide many sandbars are exposed leaving islands with tidal pools. Sometime marine life will get caught in them as the tide goes out. So we never know what we will find or where we will explore. This trip focuses on learning through experience while having fun and being safe on the water. This can also be a wonderful family team building experience. Children under 12 years old are required to go in a tandem kayak with an adult (3-4 yr olds can ride free as third person in a tandem kayak).

George Island (Camp Alamacani) Google Map from Amelia Island - go South on A1A past Amelia Island Plantation (heading toward Jacksonville), over bridge, pass Big Talbot Island State Park and Little Talbot Island State Park, over next bridge, 2/10 mile turn Right at jug handle Uturn, head back towards bridge, exit right at boat ramp sign before bridge from Jacksonville - go north on Heckscher Drive, pass ferry, 1/2 mile past Hugeonot Park turn Right before bridge at boat ramp sign
